I joined HashiCorp in early 2015 when it was just ten of us in a tiny office in SoMa and stayed through the IPO in 2021, building community programs that helped make tools like Terraform, Vault, Consul, Packer, and Nomad widely known and loved by millions of developers around the world. After the HashiCorp IPO, I started angel investing and joined TQ Ventures, a $2B AUM venture fund, as a full-time investor. It was an incredible opportunity to spend a few years essentially earning an MBA in the fundamentals of investing and to see company building from an entirely different perspective. These days, I’m an angel investor and advisor to startups. I work with founders on strategy, community, brand, storytelling, experiential marketing, and the million other things it takes to build a company people want to be part of. I especially love the early stages when there’s a great product, a small team, and a lot still to figure out.
